Inmate is found dead in cell in Ingham County

The Ingham County Sheriff's Office is reporting a death of an inmate. 

Early Tuesday morning, at approximately 4 a.m., during a hourly cell check, a deputy from Ingham County Corrections found an unresponsive inmate. He was in his bunk. 

The Corrections personnel starting life saving efforts until paramedics arrived and assisted. 
The cause of death is under investigation.

The man was identified as Mark Kelly Rhodus, a 39-year-old from Monroe, Michigan. Rhodus had been incarcerated since August 3 of this year on a 30th Circuit Court contempt charge and a Michigan Department of Corrections parole hold from Monroe county.
