UPDATE: Suspect sought in homicide of 26-year-old male on Malcolm X Street

LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) — Lansing Police are looking for the suspect in a homicide on Malcolm X Street.

Wednesday the Lansing Police Department said 43-year-old Floyd Elliot Kohn, aka Missie, is wanted on a felony warrant. Kohn is described as 5-foot-11 and 165 pounds. A photo and description of Kohn is at the end of this article. Authorities are asking anyone to call the police if they have any information.

Lansing police are ruling the suspicious death a homicide. No arrests have been made at this time. The man has been identified as 26-year-old Savon Shaquille Hicks of Lansing. The victim’s age is corrected from information sent to Fox 47 on Friday, December 11.

Around 1:09 p.m., Lansing Police were called to an apartment in the 1200 block of E. Malcolm X St. to respond to an unknown medical issue.

Ingham County 911 dispatch advised responding officers that the female caller asked for an ambulance.

Both the Lansing Fire Department and Police were sent to the apartment.

Upon arrival, officers entered the apartment and found a deceased 26-year-old male on the rear deck.

Lansing Police Department Chief Daryl Green described it as a “suspicious death.”

As of now, an investigation is underway. The cause of death of the 26-year-old male is unknown.

However, an autopsy will be conducted in the near future.
