LANSING, Mich. — McLaren Greater Lansing has been recognized for having the top-ranked hip and knee replacement programs in the Lansing region by U.S. News & World Report in its 2019-20 Best Hospitals ranking and achieving the highest rating possible for treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

U.S. News & World Report evaluates hospitals in certain procedures and conditions and assigns each hospital a rating of high performing, average, or below average in each procedure or condition. McLaren Greater Lansing’s hip replacement, knee replacement, and COPD treatments were all rated as ‘high performing’ based on multiple data categories including preventing prolonged hospital stays and having a very high nurse staffing level per patient.

“These honors affirm what our patients and community already know: McLaren Greater Lansing is the area’s leader in high-quality hip and knee replacements, and provides cutting-edge care for people with COPD,” said Kirk Ray, president and CEO of McLaren Greater Lansing.

McLaren Greater Lansing was also named among the top hospitals in Michigan by U.S. News & World Report, further demonstrating the hospital’s unwavering level of excellent, compassionate care for its patients.

Five other McLaren Health Care facilities earned accolades by U.S. News & World Report including McLaren Northern Michigan, McLaren Flint, McLaren Macomb, McLaren Bay Region, and McLaren Port Huron.
