1) Grand Haven is never boring -there are events held all year-round. Every year in the summer, you can check out the Spring Lake Heritage Festival, Sand Sculpture Contest, Grand Haven Art Festival, Fourth of July Fireworks, Del Shannon Days and the Grand Haven Coast Guard Festival. 2) What is a trip to Grand Haven without going to the beach?

3) Right off the beach is the famous pier that holds the Grand Haven Lighthouse, established in 1839. The pier is connected to the boardwalk, which creates a perfect ending to an evening stroll.

4) You can't leave Grand Haven without trying delicious corn dogs at Pronto Pup. This family-owned business has been serving customer for over 60 years and it is a Grand Haven landmark. 

5) Stop at one of the several ice cream stands along the boardwalk.

6) After a nice, long day at the beach, you can head downtown for shopping and eats. Grand Haven Main Street is located less than a mile away from the beach. Restaurants include American food, Italian, seafood, sushi and more.  

7) The Grand Haven Musical Fountain is a must see. Every summer evening there is a music, fountain and light show for residents and visitors. Performances have been going on since 1962. There are special performances from May to September.

8) You can set up on the pier, or grab your fishing boat and catch some fish! If you stay for the evening, you are almost guaranteed a beautiful sunset view. 

9) The Grand Haven area has over 100 miles worth of bike trails. The most popular route runs between Grand Haven and Holland, along Lake Michigan. Click here to check out routes.

10) You can enjoy a very scenic view of Grand Haven by doing a Benz Aviation aerial tour at the Grand Haven Airport. For $35 a person, you can have a 15 minute flight over the beach and city grounds. Click here for more information.
