CHARLOTTE, Mich. — The courthouse square lawn in Charlotte held it's annual fall fest, it's where kids do a scavenger hunt all over downtown and find their prizes.

On a day that felt like fall, kids were excited to enjoy the outdoors, and maybe even more excited by what it offered.

"Finding the stuff has been my favorite part," one participant said.

Elena Reed with Charlotte Rising says its days like these that can bring neighbors together from across the community.

"I enjoy volunteering downtown, I live in this community, I’m part of this community," she said. "I like to be involved with this community love to see the kids on this gorgeous day get them involved and get them outside."

Residents tell me it was a blast to be out doors with their kids and getting a chance to enjoy the fall activities.
