JACKSON, Mich — A 29-year-old Jackson woman has been charged with open murder in connection with a fatal shooting in Jackson's Sparks Park home of Cascades falls.
Antrana Ladell Brown was arraigned Wednesday on open murder and felony firearm charges. She's accused of gunning down 53-year-old Rodney Gene Reynolds, of Jackson.
Just after 8 a.m. Tuesday, Jackson police responded to a report of shots fired at the park. Police said they found Reynolds on the south side of Randolph Street, laying on the ground with bullet wounds to his head, torso, and leg. He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
According to police, a witness was able to provide a description of Brown walking away from the location of where the incident took place. Officers tracked her down in the 1900 block of W. High St. not far from the location of the shooting.
Police said she had a handgun on her and that she went with police without incident.
