TEMPLATE - MSU CAMPUS — Everyone loves a birthday, and Mozart’s is no exception. Music lovers are invited to join the party when MSU College of Music marks the 11th annual celebration of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s birthday with a special video presentation. Viewers can enjoy some of Mozart’s most spectacular works through a rebroadcast of past of performances by stellar MSU artists. “Happy Virtual Birthday, Mozart” is free to the public Monday, January 25, at 7:30 p.m. [livestream.com] on the MSU College of Music Livestream Channel [livestream.com].

Part of the Joanne and Bill Church West Circle Series 2020–2021 [music.msu.edu] season, the concert video presentation includes outstanding artist-faculty performances of popular works by Mozart. The video features curated works originally performed in the MSU Fairchild Theatre as long ago as 2014 and as recent as 2019. Featured compositions include Die Zauberflöte Overture performed by woodwind quintet, Sonata in D. major for Piano Four-Hands, Sonata for Piano and Violin in G. major, and Organ Solo Mass performed by choir and orchestra. Performers include MSU artists Dmitri Berlinsky [music.msu.edu], violin; Jan Eberle [music.msu.edu], oboe; Michael Kroth [music.msu.edu], bassoon; Tamar Mikeladze [music.msu.edu] and Deborah Moriarty [music.msu.edu], piano; Richard Sherman [music.msu.edu], flute; Corbin Wagner [music.msu.edu], horn; Guy Yehuda [music.msu.edu], clarinet; and University Chorale with MSU Chamber Orchestra conducted by David Rayl [music.msu.edu].
