Plenty of people are receiving packages on their doorsteps these days.
Delivery folks are as busy as can be, trying to get your items where they should be.
Although, with all the hustle and bustle of the holidays, are they handling your bundles with care?
Well, some unhappy customers in New Baltimore caught a delivery guy on camera who shows quite the opposite attitude.
“He chucked it pretty hard. It actually moved the bench, when it hit the bench,” says Michael Ward.
Inside the package was two hundred dollars worth of computer components. They were Christmas presents for his son.
Needless to say, Michael is angry.
“Integrity dude. You have to do your job. I don’t care if you’re turning over hamburgers or if you are engineering the space shuttle, do it to the best of your ability,” he says seriously.
The delivery man works for Amazon. 7 Action News reached out the company about this issue.
A spokesperson issued this statement:
This does not reflect the standards we have for delivery service partners. We work hard to deliver on our shipping promise and expect every package to be handled with care. We’ve reached out to the customer to make things right, and will address this with our delivery service partner.
On background: Amazon Customer Service is available 24/7 to help customers with matters related to package delivery.
The customers were initially given a five dollar credit. However, later in the say, Amazon gave them fifty-three dollars more.
