and last updated

“Back to School” season is upon us. You’ve got your classes, bought your pens, paper, and tablet, and now it's time for the most important purchase… Something to carry all of your gear in! But not just any pack will do. Bradley Hasemeyer teamed up with Professional Stylist Julie Xander to find the top three bags that will earn you an A+ in cool gear this year.

1.  The Rucksack

Way back when, the military used the rubsack because it was so durable and then the Canadian brand Hershel started making it. The Herschel Ruck will set you back about $60-$100, but you can find the style from Jansportand Roxy for less. While the original was army green or camo, the new versions come in lots of different colors, patterns, and designs.

2.  Toms Backpack

A company like Toms likes to give back one for one, so every purchase you make goes to a great charity. The bags come in a variety of styles that range from $50-$100. The purchase of these bags benefits a lot of great causes from helping stop bullying to helping a baby in need.

3.  Tech Friendly Bags

Most kids these days have a lot of tech stuff that they’re lugging around. We want to keep them safe in their backpacks. You want to make sure the bag you pick has padding for those items. A lot of backpacks have a dedicated sleeve, a dedicated pocket. These are the ones you’ll want to look for. They can start out at just $20 and go way up from there. Look for tags that say tablet safe or a 15 inch laptop compartment, depending on the device of choices.

If you're looking to spend more money on a great backpack you can customize then TIMBUK2 is a fantastic option. They start out at $144, so if you've got the extra cash then why not do something unique?

This back to school season we’ve got your back!
