A Massachusetts-based dessert company is recalling 26 cases of its Sienna Turtle Brownie product.

According to Dianne's Fine Desserts, the brownies may contain undeclared peanuts. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume the product.

Sienna Turtle Brownie was distributed through retail wholesale clubs located in Michigan, Illinois and Indiana.

No illnesses have been reported yet.

The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing peanuts was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of peanuts. Subsequent investigation indicates the problem was caused by a temporary breakdown in the company's production and packaging processes.

Consumers who have purchased Sienna Turtle Brownies are urged to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact customer service at 800-435-2253.
