Cedar Point was named "best amusement park" by USA Today's 10Best Readers' Choice Awards.
The park's "Steel Vengeance" hyper-hybrid roller coaster received the best roller coaster award. Cedar Point's beachside resort off Lake Erie, Hotel Breakers, also won best amusement park hotel.
A panel made up of travel industry contributors and editors from USA Today selected Cedar Point, Hotel Breakers and the "Steel Vengeance" . Readers could vote online once per day in each category online for four weeks.
These new awards come after the amusement park won a "Best New Ride of 2018" award from Amusement Today's Golden Ticket Awards. Cedar Point was also inducted into Trip Advisor's "Certificate of Excellence Hall of Fame" this year for receiving a Certificate of Excellence for five consecutive years. Trip Advisor gives the certificates to businesses throughout the world for delivering great service.
