Jersey Giant Gives Back to Frontline Caregivers

LANSING, Mich. — If there is one thing the Slocum family is known for, it is giving back to the community that has given them so much. As frontline caregivers work around the clock during the COVID-19 epidemic, Jersey Giant donated 200 of its trademark sub sandwiches to McLaren Greater Lansing and Sparrow Health System on Wednesday, April 1.

With the Lansing favorite sub shop closed until the shelter-at-home is lifted, the Slocums felt the need to give back. “The doctors, nurses, techs and other hospital staff shouldn’t have to think about their next meal as they selflessly care for others,” said Britt Slocum, owner of Jersey Giant in Delta Township and Grand Ledge. “They are giving their all to us, so why not give what we can for them?”
