LANSING, Mich. — There are 167,545 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 7,257 deaths in Michigan, the state reported Wednesday.
That's up 3,271 cases and 18 deaths from the day before. This is the second-highest single-day case increase reported by the state.
The current record is 3,338 cases, announced on Oct. 24.
State officials have shared concerns about the current increase in numbers. On Wednesday, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer said the state needs to do everything it can to keep numbers low.
