LANSING, Mich. — There are now 84,707 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan and 6,221 deaths.

On Wednesday, the state announced 657 daily cases and two deaths.

Cases are continuing to rise in Michigan and across the country, especially among young people. In the past three weeks, cases among the ages of 0-19 have nearly doubled.

State officials say what they are looking for is a decrease in cases at under 10 cases per million people per day and want the positivity percent to be lower than 3 percent.
