Michigan reports 680 new cases of COVID-19, 11 deaths on Wed.

LANSING, Mich. — There are now 113,863 confirmed cases of COVID-19 and 6,623 total deaths in Michigan, the state reported Wednesday.

That's an increase of 680 cases and 11 deaths since Monday.

Dr. Joneigh Khaldun announced the new totals during Governor Whitmer's news conference Wednesday afternoon.

Dr. Khaldun also said overall the state is at a rate of 57 cases per million, and test positivity rate is 3.7 percent.

The Detroit, Saginaw, and Traverse City regions have declining case rates. However, in Detroit, test positivity is increasing.
