LANSING, Mich. — Michigan announced 996 additional cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to numbers from the state.
However, 300 of those cases are attributed to older lab results due to a backlog received from a commercial laboratory, the state said.
The state also announced two additional deaths.
Overall, there are 80,172 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Michigan and 6,172 deaths.
