Marcus Hightower is expected to spend 50 to 75 years in prison for murdering Heidi Walker and her 4-year-old daughter, Savannah.

The sentence is part of a plea agreement with prosecutors that had Hightower, 34, pleading guilty to two counts of Second Degree Murder and Arson.

But before Wayne County Circuit Court Judge Thomas Cameron would accept Hightower's guilty pleas, the ex-con had to explain what he did to cause the deaths of Walker, his then girlfriend, and her little girl.

The motive for the killings may have been rooted in Hightower's jealousy issues.

Hightower's defense attorney indicated that there have been credible threats on his life since he's been behind bars.

Hightower will be sentenced on November 30.
