The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Terie Elbers, a teacher at Reese Public Schools, is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. Her nominator says, as a adult the things she's teaching these kids and their coming home with and retaining and taking it on. I think she's an asset to her community and does an extraordinary job and we're very fortunate to have you. So thank you Terie for everything you do for our kids. That's why she is this week's excellence in education award winner.
Terie was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her class will receive a $500 grant!
