The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Kevin Bidwell, a teacher in Heritage high School, is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. His nominator says, I'm hoping to recognize a teacher that heavily influenced my path in life. I'm just one example and I know of so many formal classmates who have had and are going on to become engineers, welders, or related fields. This is why he is this week's excellence in education award winner.
Kevin was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and his school will receive a $500 grant!
