LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Casey Crawford, a teacher at Barnard Elementary in Troy is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. In his nomination video, Keegan Collins says, "She's an incredible compassionate caring and just thoughtful teacher for all of her students."
Casey explains why teaching is so much more than a job for her, "I love seeing the small victories that they have and even the tiniest thing is such a huge celebration."
Casey was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her school will receive a $500 grant!
