LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Erin Carlson, a teacher at Sandusky High School in Sandusky is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. In her nomination video, Jamie Nicol says, "Thank you for making our school and our town a better place to live, a better place to work, a better place to learn."
Erin commented, "To be able to connect with students beyond the walls of my classroom just make the job, it really does."
Erin was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her school will receive a $500 grant!
