LANSING, Mich. — Heather Dahl is this week's Excellence in Education winner.
Bob - "Heather, congratulations. We have a video from your nominator."
Jeff Dahl - "Hi sweetheart! No one knows more than I do how much you do for your kids."
Heather - "I'm so grateful and I'm grateful to work in the community that I do. I grew up in the same community that I now teach and so you see your kids from second grade grow all the way up and it's amazing. It’s what I was supposed to do. My husband and I have a saying “once a Dahl kid, always a Dahl kid”. We believe that once they are in our classroom that they're our kids, and it doesn't matter if they're still in second grade or if they're graduating."
Heather Dahl Receives a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her class at Frostick Elementary receives a $500 Grant. Excellence in Education award sponsored by the Michigan Lottery, providing more than 23 billion dollars to public education since 1972.
