LANSING, Mich. — Jessie Bassett is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education winner, congratulations!
Jessie - "Thank you! We have a video from your nominator."
Jolynn Clark - “Jessie is so deserving, she is such a rock star here at Frankenmuth High School. She truly embodies a champion for children”
Bob - "What goes through your mind?"
Jessie - "That's so awesome. I go to school everyday and it doesn't seem like work. I don't know, everyday I always think I want every kid to have a champion in their corner. It's not just a job for me, it's a calling. We're a team at Frankenmuth High School."
Jessie Bassett receives a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her class at Frankenmuth High School receives a $500 Grant. Excellence in Education award sponsored by the Michigan Lottery providing more than 23 billion dollars to public education since 1972.
