LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Lindsay Feig, a teacher at Natalie Kreeger Elementary in Fowlerville is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. In her nomination video, Katie Faucher says, "She's an outstanding leader, not only for Kreeger but for Fowlerville and her community."
Lindsay commented, "One of my favorite things about being an educator is seeing kids learn something new because you can see their face light up and you kind of make a connection with, “Oh! that's why we do this!” and so that's definitely one of my favorite parts."
Lindsay was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her school will receive a $500 grant!
