LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Megan Sidge, a teacher at Hickory Woods Elementary in Walled Lake is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. In her nomination video, Patricia Chinn says, "All the work that you put in for our students and our families and to support our staff and the staff in your classroom, you're so deserving."
Megan commented, "I just want to be able to be there for them, whatever I can do in my power to help them succeed is what I am really trying to do"
Megan was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her school will receive a $500 grant!
