LANSING, Mich. — The Michigan Lottery has played a big role in funding education in our state, which is why it has teamed up with FOX 47 News to recognize excellent educators state-wide.
Nikki Clemons, a teacher at Paw Paw Elementary is this week's Michigan Lottery Excellence in Education award winner. In her nomination video, Patricia Bizokas says, "The patience and care she exhibited with her students in this new environment was amazing, you can see how eager she was to make sure all her students were involved & doing the best they could!"
Nikki responded, "Just knowing that I'm reaching families, I try to be silly and funny with them all the time and I try to make learning fun and make them want to be there so just hearing that is truly inspiring!"
Nikki was recognized with a $1,500 check from the Michigan Lottery and her school will receive a $500 grant!
