Grand Rapids-based Founders Brewing Company has officially started selling beer in all 50 states. The company announced on Wednesday it would be distributing beer to Hawaii, which was the only state in the U.S. that they didn't sell beer in.
Founders, which was recently ranked the second-best brewery in America by Zymurgy readers, said beer will start shipping right away. They partnered with Odom Hawaii – of the Odom Group and the GAB network of wholesalers – which will distribute cans and beer on draft to start. They will be selling the All Day IPA, Solid Gold, Rubaeus and Breakfast Stout.
Last month, they announced they were heading to Utah, which left only Hawaii to get Founders beer in every state.
The company also had several beers ranked among the best in America, including KBS at No. 4, All Day IPA tied at No. 7 and Breakfast Stout tied for ninth.
While they do distribute in every state, there is limited distribution in New York, Maryland, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, Kansas, Nebraska and Montana.
