Governor-elect Gretchen Whitmer and her family will be moving into the Michigan governor's residence in Lansing, according to her spokesperson.

No one has lived at the mansion since 2011, after Governor Snyder was elected.

The mansion was originally built in 1957 by Howard and Letha Sober, who donated it to the state in 1969. It sits on approximately four acres in the Moores River Drive neighborhood in Lansing.
