In the blink of an eye it seems were not kids anymore. We have our own little ones running around while we pretend to be adults and act like we know how to parent. You should still have a plan and the birth order should be a part of it. Jimmy Rhoades met up with author of The Birth Order Book: Why You Are the Way You Are, Dr. Kevin Leman, to get three important parenting tips based on the order you were born.
1. The First Born
They are usually sheltered and parents need to watch out for that. Don't ride them so hard and set expectations too high. This could be damaging to them later in life.
2. The Middle Child
They never had mom and dad to themselves so they are easy going. Just be sure to give them some time in the spotlight and make them feel special.
3. The Baby
They always want the center of attention and can be a bit much at times. They will always bring the laughs, but don't always indulge them or they will expect that when they get older. This can lead to disappointment later in life.
