LANSING, Mich. — The 20th Annual Hit ‘em Fore Hospice Golf Benefit presented by American 1 Credit Union and CP Federal Credit Union is a virtual event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, there will be no golfing in a traditional sense, but the two credit unions are continuing their fundraising momentum by introducing a virtual golf benefit. The virtual event is going on now through the end of September. Similar to a golf outing, they are looking for sponsors to help reach their bold goal of $50,000 for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
The event’s fundraising team has additional opportunities to support the hospice home planned over the next two months. A “pop-up shop” with apparel and other unique items will be available for purchase with all proceeds benefitting the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. There will also be 50/50 Raffle tickets available on select days in September at some American 1 and CP Federal branch locations.
President/CEO of CP Federal Credit Union and Chair for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Board Chrissy Siders stated, “In these times of such uncertainty, we are thankful for the opportunity to partner with American 1 Credit Union, once more, to raise funds for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. We are humbled to have the opportunity to come alongside families seeking care for their loved ones at the hospice home and to lift the financial burden they may be carrying – providing support during this key, legacy defining moment.”
The 2020 Hit ‘em Fore Hospice Virtual Golf Benefit follows the success of the event in 2019, where American 1 Credit Union and CP Federal Credit Union produced the most successful fundraiser in the event's history, reaching more than $65,000 for the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home.
President/CEO of American 1 Credit Union and Vice Chair for the Henry Ford Allegiance Health Board of Trustees Martha Fuerstenau said, “We are thrilled to partner with CP Federal Credit Union for a second year to support the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. The need for fundraising is as important as ever, and we remain boldly committed to the hospice home and the important role they play in our community.”
