A local family is temporarily displaced after an early morning house fire in Lansing Township Tuesday morning.
Fire crews rushed to the house on Washtenaw Street just before 4 a.m.
According to a FOX 47 News crew on scene, the fire started in an upstairs bedroom. The three adults inside the house got out safely along with their dog and a kitten. However, their cats were trapped inside.
One of the residents notified FOX 47 News, they spotted one of their cats in the house after the fire was put out and plan to return to the house to try and find her. The other cats are still missing. The fire is under investigation.
