EAST LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - The Ingham County Kennel Club is holding its annual "All Breed" Dog Show this weekend at the Michigan State University Pavilion.
Roughly 1,400 dogs and 160 breeds are at the competition.
Judges from all over the country are in Mid-Michigan for the event.
The winner of the event each day will earn championship points.
Locally, clubs are pretty strong.
"We have a good enough breeding program that we win pretty regularly,” said Mark Jaeger, president of the Ingham County Kennel Club. “It's also the friendships that you make over the years, people that you know, it's a pretty tight knit community."
Organizers encourage people who are thinking about getting a dog to come out and ask questions.
The dog show continues Sunday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
