A Michigan State University spokesperson says the director of MSU's alumni department, who is currently under a Title IX investigation by the university, no longer works on campus.
MSU spokesperson Emily Guerrant confirmed to FOX 47 that Scott Westerman's last day on campus was last Friday.
University officials said a Title IX investigation into Westerman started in February. He submitted his resignation last month and it would be effective July 31st.
At that time, Westerman released a statement saying the timing of his resignation had nothing to do with the Title IX investigation and said he and his family have been planning on moving to Florida for some time.
Michigan State University says Bob Thomas will serve as the interim director of the alumni department during the search for a new director.
