A body found in the Kalamazoo river has been identified.
Several people kayaking down the river found what appeared to be a body in the river. The kayakers then notified Calhoun County Dispatch Authority.
The body was removed by the Calhoun County Dive Team, and later identified as William Gillham, 84, of Albion.
Police say he died from drowning, and that at this time there is no evidence of any foul play involved in his death. He had only been in the water for a short time before he was discovered around 1:40 p.m. Saturday.
