The roads were slippery enough Monday morning that a woman's car slid off Central Park Drive in Meridian Township and ended up in a pond.
It happened in front of the Willows at Okemos retirement community.
The woman told us she was slipping and sliding before the car hopped a curb and she didn't have much time to react.
"I just started praying," said Kiandra Arnold. "I was like, 'I'm gonna flip over!"
She decided the water was too cold to risk swimming, so she got on top of the partially-submerged car and called 911.
Meridian Township firefighters came and got her.
