LANSING, Mich. — The Administrative Board for Capital Area Michigan Works! announced it has named Carrie Rosingana as the new chief executive officer. She will step into the role July 1, 2020, as current CEO Edythe Copeland retires.

Since August 2015, Rosingana has served as CAMW!’s chief operating officer and equal opportunity officer. In her role as COO, Rosingana achieved 100% of successful performance outcomes across all programs during her tenure, as well as successfully passed the recent official State of Michigan Equal Opportunity review which highlighted diversity and inclusive practices put into action under her leadership efforts.

“Capital Area Michigan Works! has consistently provided exceptional services to the employers and job seekers we work alongside to help support regional economic prosperity,” said Rosingana. “As the CEO of Capital Area Michigan Works!, I plan to continue to have our agency looked upon as an innovative thought leader in workforce development initiatives and programs that benefit the greater good of the capital region, as well as the State of Michigan.”

Rosingana has worked in workforce development since 2007, starting at Peckham, Inc. as a career coach and case manager within the Michigan Works! system before becoming Capital Area Michigan Works!’ quality assurance officer, and then the chief compliance officer, and finally COO. Rosingana holds a bachelor’s degree in family community service from Michigan State University as well as a variety of certifications and trainings from organizations such as the State of Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget and the National Council for Behavioral Health.

“Collaboration is key to this work,” Rosingana said. “Under my leadership, we will strategically seek out new opportunities that expand access to all customers from all skill set levels, provide increased career pathway connections to our educational and employer partners, and promote the continued growth of our region through our agency's direct programming efforts.”

The experience and passion Rosingana brings to her new role as CEO will guide the agency into continuing to find innovative ways to serve Ingham, Clinton and Eaton counties.

“I’ve dedicated two decades of my career helping Capital Area Michigan Works! become a leader in workforce development not just locally, but nationally,” said Copeland. “I have no doubt Carrie will continue to further our mission and our respected position, while bringing her own perspectives and vision for the future of Capital Area Michigan Works, and our region.”
