Cedar Street reopens for business

HOLT, Mich. — The Delhi Township Downtown Development Authority announced today that construction on the Realize Cedar project is nearly complete and Cedar Street is again open for business and two-way traffic.

The Realize Cedar project is a win-win for Delhi Township residents, businesses and visitors because it improves motorist and pedestrian safety and traffic flow, and connects Delhi Township in new ways. The project reduced Cedar Street from four lanes to three lanes, which will diminish driver wait times at the Aurelius and Holt Roads intersections and realigned Keller Road to allow traffic signals to be retimed.

“As the Realize Cedar project nears completion, it’s a great time to visit and support the locally-owned businesses along Cedar Street,” said Mark Dunn, owner of Scooter’s Pro Cycle. “The Cedar Street corridor is now more walkable, making it easier to support the local businesses located along Cedar Street. The temporary inconvenience caused by construction is far outweighed by the benefits the project provides businesses, residents and people visiting our community.”
