Two cities in mid-Michigan are offering extended hours for absentee voting ahead of the Nov. 6 midterm elections.
Lansing:
For city of Lansing voters only, the South Washington Office Complex Elections Unit, 2500 S. Washington Ave., will be open Nov. 3 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
In addition, the offices will be open Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Offices will be open longer on Wednesday, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Mon., Nov. 5 is the deadline to request an absentee ballot.
You can also drop off completed absentee ballots, or applications, in drop boxes 24 hours a day outside Lansing City Hall and the Election Unit office.

Jackson:
The city clerk's office, located on the first floor of City Hall, 161 W. Michigan Ave., will offer extended hours on Saturday and Sunday.
The offices will be open Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Nov. 4 from 8 a.m. to noon.
