The Kiwanis Club of Jackson is hosting a community build Friday to erect a new playground structure at Kiwanis Park, a city park on Jackson's northeast side.
Working under the direction of a representative of Penchura, the playground equipment manufacturer, volunteers will assemble the structure from 8 a.m. until about 11 a.m., followed by a lunch, provided by the club.
The playground build will take place at Kiwanis Park, southwest corner of N. Elm Avenue and Blakely Avenue in Jackson.
