CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. -- Those working in law enforcement face challenging situations every day.  And two deputies with the Charlotte County Sheriff, Florida Office knew exactly what to do to help an ailing resident.

The sheriff's office posted this photo to social media Wednesday, showing DFC Hauschild and Deputy Geary at a local Winn-Dixie store.

The pair had been sent to check on a woman with terminal cancer, and upon noticing that she had no food, they hit the store to pick up groceries to stock her shelves.

They hope that acts of kindness like this can inspire others to do so themselves.
