LANSING, Mich. — McLaren Greater Lansing’s frontline hospital staff are being treated to a meal from Little Caesars and the Detroit Tigers. Two deliveries of 50 pizzas are being brought to the hospital to thank health care workers on the day and night shifts for their dedication in the fight against COVID-19.
As part of its “Pie It Forward” campaign, Little Caesars will deliver 1,500 pizzas to serve nearly 6,000 healthcare employees on the job at 13 McLaren hospitals statewide, including Karmanos Cancer Institute.
“We are very appreciative that two such outstanding Michigan icons as the Detroit Tigers and Little Caesars recognize the commitment and courage of our healthcare workers in rising up to this challenge,” said Phil Incarnati, President/CEO of McLaren Health Care. “We thank both organizations for their support of our valued employees who have been at the forefront everyday caring for patients throughout this COVID-19 crisis.”
As part of its national “Pie It Forward” campaign, Little Caesars is donating 1 million pizzas to hospitals, police departments, and fire departments around the nation. Customers can join the effort by using the Little Caesars app to #PieItForward and send a pizza to medical personnel, police, and firefighters in their local areas nationwide. This donation is made possible by Little Caesars, its thousands of independent hard-working franchisees, and Ilitch Charities, a non-profit whose goal is to positively impact lives and empower communities.
