Authorities are investigating a fatal fire in Hillsdale County's Wheatland Township.
The Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office was called to 11200 Church Road at about 4:30 a.m Thursday for reports of a house fire.
A Michigan State Police Fire Marshal, already on scene, informed deputies that a woman was dead inside the home. A man was taken to the University of Michigan Hospital for severe injuries.
Both the Hillsdale County Sheriff's Office and the Michigan State Police are investigating the fire. Check back for updates.
