LANSING, Mich. — The first “Caturday Saturday” Adoption event at Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter was a success. Twenty-eight cats and kittens went to forever homes. The day started with a line waiting for the doors to open, and the visitors and adopters came through all day long. At the end of the day, there were twenty-eight cat adoptions (and one dog adoption) making it the busiest adoption day all summer.
ICACS is excited and ready for the next Caturday Saturday on August 1st. There will be approximately thirty cats ready for adoption, including many kittens. These loving cats are waiting for a second chance at a forever home, and are ready to let their personalities shine.
Adoption fees for adult cats and kittens is $25. Senior cats (over six years) and for cats that have been at the shelter over two months have free adoptions. Think you want two? Second cat adoptions are only $10. All are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and have age appropriate vaccination. Love animals, but cats aren’t your cup of tea? There are also dogs ready for adoption! Dog adoptions include an Ingham County dog license for resident adopters.
