Across Michigan today, flags will be at half-staff in honor of Ron Savage, a volunteer firefighter and popular news anchor.
Savage volunteered as a firefighter for the Milford Fire Department. He was also a news anchor at Fox 2 in Detroit. He passed away from cardiac arrest last weekend while participating in a training session.
Savage was 63 years old.
