A former teacher has been arraigned on charges that she had sex with a teenage student.
Jamee Hiatt was arraigned Monday on 1st and 3rd Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct charges.
She could get life in prison if convicted.
Hiatt lives in Grass Lake and was arrested following an unrelated investigation in Jackson.
She resigned from Leslie Schools last Thursday and was arrested the following day.
Jackson County prosecutors say she had a sexual relationship with a boy between 13 and 16 years old.
The boy is no longer a student in the Leslie school district.
