JACKSON, Mich. — Greater Jackson Habitat for Humanity is celebrating their first of 14 homes in Monday at Noon.
Habitat plans to build a neighborhood near the downtown area that will have provide homes for 14 low-income families.
Their goal is to help provide stability and self-reliance through home-ownership.
Jackson joins cities across the country hoping to improve home affordability over the next five years for 10 million people.
