The number of unvaccinated children in the U.S. is rising, according to a new report out from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.
Health officials are using that report as a warning and reminder to urge people to get their flu shot now as flu cases are starting to pop up.
On Wednesday, the Ingham County Health Department is holding a walk-in clinic at the Human Services building on South Cedar Street in Lansing.
The vaccine is covered by most insurance plans.
The health department offers a sliding scale for people without insurance.
The clinic runs from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 p.m. and from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m..
