Former Holt teacher, Patrick Daley, appeared in court Thursday morning for a preliminary exam. The prosecutor, Christina Johnson, submitted a motion to close the court to any unnecessary person during the witness testimony.

Four victims testified in front of Judge Thomas Boyd in Ingham County District Court in Mason. Court documents show that the four boys were Daley's students.

The judge decided to bound over the case to circuit court on 14 counts of criminal sexual conduct (CSC) in the second degree.

The prosecutor presented two files on Daley, one file had 8 counts and the other 6 counts of CSC 2nd degree.

Patrick Daley is facing a total of 14 felony charges.

Thursday, Dec. 6, he was bound over to Circuit Court. The arraignment will be December 19.

Daley was a 5th-grade teacher at Washington Woods Middle School. The Ingham County Sheriff's Office launched an investigation on May 31, 2018, after several students accused him of sexually assaulting them.

He was suspended from teaching when the concerns came to light, according to the Holt School District. The district is now looking into tenure charges to terminate Daley's employment.
