Ingham County Animal Shelter Starts “Howl-O-Ween” Adoption Discounts

LANSING, Mich. — Ingham County Animal Control & Shelter wants to encourage people to adopt with a new “Howl-O-Ween” special. Starting Friday, October 16th through Saturday, October 31st ICACS will be adopting dogs out at half price. Senior dogs are $25, Adult dogs are $50, and puppies under 6 months are $75. This adoption fee includes a one year dog license, microchip, current vaccinations, and the pet has been spayed/neutered.

ICACS receives approximately 1,200 dogs every year, and currently there are 18 adoptable dogs at the shelter. ICACS does behavioral evaluations on all animals before they go up for adoption, and makes recommendations for the appropriate housing and training needs of the pets once they get into their forever homes.

All adoption applications will be screened as part of the normal adoption process. If you do not own your home, please bring something for your landlord or leasing agency with the pet policy information. Adoption hours are 10:30am-4:30pm Mon-Sat, with extend hours until 5:30pm on Wednesdays.

Ingham County Animal Control is open M,T,Th,F,Sa 10:30-5pm and W 10:30-6pm. The shelter is closed on county observed holidays.
