A 5 year-old kindergartner from East Lansing has raised money to help homeless families.
On Tuesday, Pippa Holtz presented a check worth more than $1,000 to Haven House. The charity helps homeless families find a place to live.
The fundraiser started after Holtz toured the house. Her mother, Bree Holtz said, 'She didn't really realize that other kids on their birthdays might not get a present, so that was really important to her, to help raise money and know that it's going to families to help them."
All of the money was raised through a GoFundMe account.
Pippa wrote a thank you note to every person who donated.
